We did some shopping at the mall on Sunday afternoon. Andrew kicked up his feet and got comfortable while we shopped.
Then, it was time for his first haircut! Joey was not thrilled about this idea, but I could not stand the long, shaggy hair over his ears. He was always getting food stuck in his hair, and it looked dirty all of the time. A lot of people told me that it was bad luck to cut a baby's hair before he was one year. I don't believe in bad/good luck, but I do like traditions. I've been trying to find the time to take him since his first birthday.
Andrew did not cry at all during his haircut. He took one of his favorite kitten books, and read it most of the time. He did give the stylist the "eyebrow" when she would reach for his hair. If you have spent any time with Andrew, you are familiar with the eyebrow. He wasn't upset, but just curious why someone kept touching his hair.
He got to hold an orange comb, so we started brushing the fur on his kittens.
Because he did so well, we took him for a reward in the mall. He got to ride the Popeye ride with Da da.
Look at his big boy hair! No more hair falling over his ears!
Then, he rode the blue jeep at the mall.
He understood what to do and liked spinning the steering wheel. He's becoming such a big boy!
