Ugly Shoes
We recently donated Andrew's shoes that he had to wear for physical therapy. We had a love/hate relationship with these shoes. He had to wear them EVERY day. I used to get so sad that I couldn't get him "cool" shoes like his friends. However, I knew that they were the best for him. They were really expensive, so we decided to give them to his therapist so that she could give them to a family that she works with. As much as I was ready for Andrew to be able to wear other shoes, it was sad to see them go. They were a size 5. When he outgrew these, we bought a size 6...the exact same style. We still have those, for now, but we will eventually donate those as well. He can now wear anything. We even bought him a pair of flip flops. He does have extremely FAT feet, so we have had to special order his shoes.
