I am growing rapidly now. Here I am at 28 weeks, 2 days. I feel like I am not very big until I look at pictures like this one. I remember walking into Publix yesterday wondering if people could really even tell that I was pregnant. Then, I look at this picture and think that it MIGHT be obvious that I am...ha ha! The pregnancy is going really well still. I have a little difficulty at night getting comfortable, but still feel wonderful throughout the day. I hope that everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend!

WELCOME, 3RD TRIMESTER!!!
I can't believe that it is here already. Andrew moves ALL OF THE TIME! He is a wild man, and Joey and I both love feeling him. He now weighs about 4 pounds. I have two more days of work left, and then I plan to relax and prepare for Andrew. Joey and I both have vacations (one with each other for our 2nd anniversary, and then both of us are going on vacation with friends) during the next couple of weeks.

Pictures from the weekend...
Ralph has many loves in his life: Temptations cat treats, drinking water from a faucet, snuggling in bed with Joey and me, taking elastic hair bands to the laundry room, and knocking empty cups over. But above all of these things, Ralph LOVES shoes. He will play with all shoes, but his favorite pair would have to be my black flip flops. He loves to stick one paw in them like he is wearing them. One thing Ralph hates: the flash from the camera. This is why this picture is so dark. When I do use a flash, we end up with a "squinty-eyed" picture like this!Joey and I went to a party for the management of Mercedes on Saturday night at the Yacht Club in Tuscaloosa. Joey took a baby bump picture in our foyer before we left. Thank you, Susan for the dress...and pretty much all of the other maternity clothes that I have! I am 26 weeks and 4 days pregnant in this picture. The third trimester is right around the corner! I still have very few complaints with the pregnancy. I feel great almost all of the time. Overall, I am just really excited for Andrew to get here!
This week is my last full week of school. While I am excited about the break, this time is always bittersweet for me as I realize that my time with another wonderful group of students is coming to a close. I have been blessed once again with a great class this year. It is hard to believe that I will begin my 7th year of teaching in August. I don't feel old enough to have taught that long, but then again Joey and I discuss regularly that we don't feel old enough to be parents!

Bedding
This is what Andrew's bedding will look like. This is the picture from the website---NOT HIS ACTUAL NURSERY:) Several (sweet and wonderful) friends have been asking us for the colors to make things for the nursery, so here they are! 26 weeks
Holy Cow...this pregnancy is FLYING by! I am getting huge, Andrew is moving constantly, Joey and I have started our classes at the hospital, and the nursery is coming together. I apologize for the bad picture, but Joey is not home from work yet and I have neglected to take serveral weeks of "bump" pictures. As soon as he gets home, we have to leave for the hospital to go to another class. There is a lot going on with Andrew in the 26th week. He is now able to distinguish between Joey's voice and my voice...wonder if he recognizes Ralph's meow, too? :) He also is beginning to open his eyes. Regardless of their future color (which I hope that he has his daddy's beautiful, brown eyes) his eyes are blue right now. His fingernails and toenails have now fully grown into place. If born today, he would have about an 80% chance of survival. I have been able to feel Andrew for several weeks. Last night was the first time that Joey ever felt him kick, though. I hope that everyone has a wonderful night!

Bad News, Good News, and Great News
Bad News:
Joey and I went to my 25 week appointment this week. Unfortunately, I failed my glucose test. I was really upset that Andrew was in danger and that I had to come back the next day to take a more extensive (3 hour test) to see if I would be diagnosed with gestational diabetes.
Good News:
I passed the three hour test, so I do not have gestational diabetes. Everything is fine, and my glucose levels were normal. The first test was only a one hour test, and we were told that many pregnant women just take more than an hour to regulate their sugar levels. Also, my marginal previa (that I posted about previously) has corrected itself. My placenta is now in the proper place, and I should be able to have a normal delivery.
Great News:
We got a 4D ultrasound of Andrew. We know that he still has a lot of developing to do and will change a great deal. However, we think that he is the most precious thing in the world! His little hands are in front of his lips.

Flowers from Teve Unno
As I told you all in a previous post, Joey and I both helped to get everything ready for my brother's engagement to Olivia. My sweet brother sent us flowers this week to thank us for our help. He is going to be a great husband because he is so thoughtful! "Teve Unno"=Steve Reneau...the way Steve said it when he was 3, and the nickname stuck!
