Happy Birthday, Cade!
Our nephew turned 7 this week, and we celebrated with a LEGO party!
It was really well organized with different stations of activities for different children. They also had activities set up for different age groups. Here is the birthday boy (plus Joey and Andrew) at one of the coloring tables. It is hard to believe that Joey and I went shopping for his first birthday present together when we started dating.Andrew enjoyed playing with the blocks. There were some very pretty baby girls that caught his eye.Joey with his Paw Paw and Jan:Someone pointed out to me the strange way that Andrew sits when he plays. He normally does sit in this position. Not posed, I promise!I also wanted to share some pictures from last weekend. There is a neighborhood close to ours that has a nice playground, so we drive over and use it sometimes. Baby Joey is not really able to get in on the action just yet!Andrew has recently started to really like slides. His shoes were skidding as he slid, so Joey asked him if he wanted to take his shoes off. I love how he holds up his feet when we talk about his shoes.Swings--It was hard to get good pictures because they were moving.Waving to Mama:)

Missing Da-da
Joey is in Germany this week for work, so we have all been missing him very much. My mom is staying with us and helping me with the boys.
Andrew and I went on a "date" this morning to Chick-fil-a. He liked taking all of his hashbrowns out of the box and then putting them all back in the box...over and over again!
He managed to eat a few, too. Then, we went to the indoor playground. It was a HUGE success. He was a little uncertain at first.Once he started playing, he laughed the entire time. He would crawl up the slide as fast as he could and then slide down backwards, laughing the whole way down.Happy Boy:The Beauty Shop and Pet Store were the perfect size for him.He matched the animals in the Pet Shop. After Chick-fil-a, Andrew went to school and Joey, my mom, and I went to Birmingham. We ate at Surin with my sister. After lunch, we went to Whole Foods. As with Andrew, I am going to make all of Joey's baby food. Even though he will not start until 6 months, I want to freeze everything before my maternity leave is over. Also, I have the best free help in the world staying with me this week! We picked out some yummy food for our sweet boy. I like this picture because it captures what my life is like right now--the black backpack is my breastpump. I pretty much always have it with me. I told my mom in the car today that I cannot wait for the day that I can burn it. Yes, I hate it that much!Joey looks pretty peaceful in this picture, right? Well, looks can be VERY deceiving. Shortly after this picture was taken, he started crying...and crying...and crying. I told my mom that I was going to the front of the store to try to comfort him. She continued shopping. It got so bad that I motioned for her and told her to check out right away. I could not get him to stop crying. I was upset because he was upset, plus (to be totally honest) I was mortified. I could feel everyone looking at me. One old lady walked up to me and handed me a quarter. I'm not sure how she thought that would help me! He did calm down, and we were able to finish our shopping. Hopefully, I will have a freezer full of baby food tomorrow night!

Happy Thursday!
Since I did a post about Joey last night, here are some recent pictures of Andrew. Above, Andrew took his sweet cousin, Holly to his favorite place. If you are a regular reader of this blog, then you know that I am talking about Cracker Barrel!
Andrew is currently very interested in shoes. If you take your shoes off, he hands them to you to put back on your feet. He likes to put other people's shoes on his feet as well. Here he is playing with his daddy's tennis shoes.

2 months
Joey turned 2 months earlier this week!
He started going to daycare a couple of days a week. Here are some pictures of him in his classroom.

Joey has really struggled with colic and stomach issues. Every night around 7:00, Joey would cry for a couple of hours. Even though he was fed, changed, and being comforted, he was upset. I took him to the pediatrician each week to try to get help for him. My pediatrician told me about these drops, and they have been MAGICAL for us! I wanted to put up pictures of some of Joey's favorite things. These drops probably top his list even though he doesn't know it because they make him such a happy baby.He LOVES looking at the kitchen light. Big Joey and I worry that he may go blind one day because he stares at lights so much. At dinner, all of us will sit around the kitchen table, and Joey will sit in his bouncer ON the table so that he can see the light. He also loves dressing like a stud! Thanks for the outfit, Aunt Amy.Finally, Joey enjoys hanging out with his cousin. Amelia and he are only a few weeks apart, so they are already becoming big buddies.Other things about Joey:
*His eyes are going to end up being blue. They are turning lighter each day.
*He still wears a size 1 diaper, but they are getting a little snug.
*He wears 3-6 month clothes.
*He is still eating only breastmilk.
*He generally wakes up once during the night, and he is fairly easy to put back to sleep after we feed him. I still get up multiple times to pump throughout the night in order to store up enough for him when I go back to work.
*He smiles quite a bit, but I have not heard him laugh yet.
*He likes to stretch.
*If Big Joey has not shaved, he really does not like for any part of Joey's face to touch him.
