Homecoming Weekend

It is Homecoming at the University.  This morning, we ate breakfast at Chick-fil-a.  The boys both love playing there.  Joey would wait at the bottom of the slide for Andrew.  Andrew would give him a hug (tackle) before going to slide again.

 

 

After breakfast, we went to campus to walk around.  It was pretty cold, though.

Here I am with my boys in front of my sorority house.  My chapter is building a new house, so this will be the last Homecoming in this house.

Pumpkin Patch

After 2 weeks of sickness in our house, and even a visit to Children's Hospital (below), we all enjoyed a day out at the Pumpkin Patch.

 It was a little chilly this morning-perfect weather for a Mickey hat!

 Andrew loves tractors.  Andrew loves trains.  This place had a tractor train.  He was thrilled!

 Dada and Andrew waited in line to ride the horses.  Andrew really likes horses because we pass some each day on our ride home.  He got scared when it was his turn, though.  We quickly left.

 Ha ha!  I love this picture.  I wish that he would have looked at me.  He called this cat, "Raf."

 There were so many cute places to stop and pose for pictures.  Unfortunately, my boys are not really into the whole posing thing:)

 Dada and Andrew went to pet all of the animals.

 I waited with Joey and let him stretch his legs some.  He really wants to let go, but he just seems scared.  He can stand on his own for a few seconds, but he rarely tries.

 Finally, we made it to the pumpkin patch.

 but this one was the winner!

 Here is my very favorite picture from the day.  I love that they are holding hands and laughing.

 This pumpkin patch is known for their roasted corn, so we had to try some.

This boy loves to eat! He had chicken, dressing, corn, and bananas tonight. I am amazed by how much he can hold!

Amelia Turns One!

Happy Birthday, Amelia!

Here I am with my boys before driving to Birmingham to celebrate.  Big Joey was in Germany:(

Amelia's family calls her Sister Bear.  Because of this, the theme of the party was the Berenstain Bears.  In case you are not familiar with them, here is the Bear Family.

 

Sister Bear:

 The Rathmell house was transformed into the Bear Family treehouse.  I thought that this was so creative.

 Here are some of the decorations for Sister Bear.

 Each table had a book on it.

 Here is the Rathmell Bear Family.  I think that it's funny that my sister had to wear a shower cap to look like Mama Bear!  They really did dress perfectly.

 Amelia had a lot of guests at her party.  Here is Grandmommy with two of her boys.
