We decided not to follow the "no baths for 10 days" rule. We made it to Day 4. We didn't wash his hair, though.

Joey had surgery this morning at Children's Hospital in Birmingham to correct a trigger thumb. The tendons in his thumb were too small causing him to be unable to extend his thumb properly. It was a condition that he was born with, but we did not notice it until last month. The doctor said it often does not present itself until age 2. We chose to do the surgery today because I am off work for 2 weeks. Andrew is always a screamer after anesthesia, but Joey was peaceful and quiet. He is not very fond of the cast, and he tries to pull it off. When he woke up, he told us that he wanted Andrew.
Andrew was the rooster in his Christmas skit at school. His line:
Your birth I will announce, and I will crow to tell Peter he was wrong!
Yesterday, we enjoyed our first day of the break. It is so warm here. The boys love going to playgrounds, and this one had a rock climbing wall. Both of them climbed it like monkeys!
If you have an elf on the shelf, you know the only rule is that you are not supposed to touch him. He will lose his magical powers. Oh well!
The boys get a new ornament each year that represents something about them from the year. Currently, Andrew loves bowling. Joey loves taking baths. He begs to take one each night.
Andrew asked me to take pictures of his classroom the other day. He is such a random little dude. He likes to tell the class hermit crab, Bama, bye at the end of each day.
Here is our elf. He arrived tonight, and left cookies for the boys!
Joey is in an Elmo phase right now. He loves everything about him. The Rathmells gave him this doll for his 2nd birthday (still need to post those pictures) and it is his favorite thing.
The boys dressed up at Elmo and Mickey Mouse this year!
