We were out of school for three days this week because of ice on the roads. We loved the extra time together.

Circus
Andrew and I went on a date last night-Circus and Cracker Barrel.
He loved the circus. The elephants and motorcycles were his favorite.

Breaking the rules
We decided not to follow the "no baths for 10 days" rule. We made it to Day 4. We didn't wash his hair, though.

Joey's Surgery
Joey had surgery this morning at Children's Hospital in Birmingham to correct a trigger thumb. The tendons in his thumb were too small causing him to be unable to extend his thumb properly. It was a condition that he was born with, but we did not notice it until last month. The doctor said it often does not present itself until age 2. We chose to do the surgery today because I am off work for 2 weeks. Andrew is always a screamer after anesthesia, but Joey was peaceful and quiet. He is not very fond of the cast, and he tries to pull it off. When he woke up, he told us that he wanted Andrew.

My Rooster
