Our little Moses

Andrew played Baby Moses this morning in children's church. Here is Moses floating in his basket down the Nile River.

Luckily, Pharaoh's daughter (our Children's Minister, Lynne) came to the river and saw Baby Moses.

Our little Moses did not cry or try to get out of the basket. He did a wonderful job, and we were very proud of him. I love that he is already involved in the ministry of our church. It is so important to Joey and me to raise him in the church and for him to become a follower of Christ.

A Jack Brown Visit

Andrew and Jack have been big buddies since birth. Jack's mom (Christin Gorday Brown) and I were sorority sisters in college, lived in the same apartment complex, taught kindergarten together for one year, were bridesmaids for each other, and the list goes on. Christin is one of the girls in the group that goes to the beach each summer together also. We like that our boys are growing up together and seem to get along quite well.

This is one of my favorite pictures from the day. It looks like Andrew is thinking--you don't seriously think that I am going to let you play with my concrete truck, do you?

Sweet boys holding slobbery, dripping wet hands:

Our boys were thrilled with the news that their future friend was born today. Another one of our sorority sisters (Holly Johnson Meek) welcomed Baby Benjamin into the world this morning. Holly will probably not make our beach trip this year, but I'm sure that we will get all of these boys together when Benjamin gets big enough to handle them.

We took some pictures to send to Benjamin. First, Jack had to get this very important secret off of his chest.

Welcome, Baby Benjamin! We are so happy that you are here!

Later in the day, we made a trip to Taco Casa. The boys were actually wonderful entertainment for each other, so lunch was very nice. We are planning a trip to visit Jack in Birmingham soon.

Steve's Commissioning

My brother is now a Reverend! He was commissioned yesterday at Frazer United Methodist Church in Montgomery. Here he is with the Bishop from his conference. Hugging my mom after the service:

Some very close friends from FUMC Wetumpka came to support him.

I got back from Montgomery later than I expected, and Joey and I decided to go to Applebee's. I was not anticipating eating out for supper and was not prepared. So, my very big boy had to order of of the kids' menu for the first time. He ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with a side of applesauce.

He even ate with a big spoon. He is growing up way too fast:(

Congratulations, Steve! We are very proud of you!

Summer Fun

Our family had some friends over last night to grill out and watch the Alabama softball game. Andrew loved playing with Scott and Amber Moore.

Mallorie Miller spent some time with Joey shaking her puffs.

Mallorie and Andrew have gotten to be big buddies over the last few months. He normally attacks her and tries to kiss her. He was able to control himself last night, though. Mallorie's dad, Chris, was a brave man and held both babies.

It's strange to see Joey holding a little girl! I think he looks good either way:)
